Keith Laney was again the first to discover that NASA/JPL/MSSS/PDS released the very LAST images the Mars Global Surveyor Camera took before a software error pointed the battery back towards the sun and left it there which fried it's batteries. His posting of this news was in The Hidden Mission BBS on September 22, 2007 and the ftp link where the data was: ftp://ida2.wr.usgs.gov/cdroms3/ Here are the last of images of Cydonia area the MOC took of the area...no "Monuments" (maybe
)...but interesting sites and portions of images are
indeed intriguing.
Update November 11, 2007:
One of the 'Cydonia Mocs' somehow didn't show up in the MS Access search I did for Cydonia images.

Still looks like a FACE to me and Dr. Mikey had to have one last 'peek' in the final days of the MGS.
